Cyber Risk Analyst role at NSW Department of Customer Service. This is an ongoing opportunity based in Sydney with flexible/hybrid working options available.
Base pay range
A$113,574.00/yr - A$125,720.00/yr
Responsibilities
Conduct analysis of cyber risks using tools such as risk registers and incident data.
Support the development and coordination of cyber risk assessments and data analysis.
Prepare and maintain high quality reporting outputs such as risk heatmaps, new cyber metrics and executive updates.
Coordinate follow-up on treatment actions, track milestones, and ensure risk documentation is current and complete.
Collaborate with stakeholders to interpret and validate cyber risk information to drive informed decisions.
Contribute to process improvement opportunities that enhance risk visibility and governance maturity.
Maintain positive stakeholder relationships through effective communication and issue resolution.
About you
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail, particularly in managing cyber risk data.
Experience preparing reports for governance forums or executives.
Comfortable navigating ambiguity and able to work across business and technical teams.
Collaborative by nature, able to build trust and drive delivery through strong relationships.
Strong understanding and familiarity with security standards and frameworks (e.g., ISO 27001:2013, CIS, NIST, ISM, Essential Eight, Mitre, etc.).
Background in cyber security risk management.
