Job Description
* Source and acquire supplies and services needed for the company's operations.
* Conduct negotiations with suppliers to ensure cost-effective purchasing decisions.
* Develop and maintain relationships with key suppliers in the Resources industry.
* Regularly review performance of suppliers and ensure consistent supply chain management.
* Prepare and process purchase orders in accordance with the company's policies and procedures.
* Assist in the development and implementation of procurement strategies.
* Maintain accurate records of purchases and pricing.
* Coordinate with team members and other departments to ensure all procurement tasks are done efficiently.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Purchasing Officer should have:
* A strong understanding of procurement processes and supply chain management.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and procurement software.
* Excellent negotiation and communication skills.
* Strong organisational skills, with an ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
* High attention to detail and accuracy.
* Relevant qualifications in Procurement, Supply Chain Management or a similar field.
