The IT Service Desk Technician at St Andrews Christian College plays a vital role in maintaining the operation of the College's classroom learning. This position involves providing technical support to students, teachers, and staff, ensuring IT-related issues are either resolved efficiently or escalated to a specialist technician promptly. This full-time position will commence in January 2026.
Main Responsibilities
* Responding to and resolving IT support requests from users, including troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues
* Providing technical assistance for computer systems, printers, mobile devices, and other technology equipment
* Installing, configuring, and maintaining software applications and operating systems
* Assisting with user account management, password resets, and access control
* Contributing to the development of IT support documentation and knowledge base articles
* Participating in IT projects and initiatives as directed by the IT Manager or senior team members
* Delivering excellent customer service by ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and maintaining a positive user experience
* Collaborating with other IT staff to identify recurring problems and proactively implement solutions to improve overall system performance
* Conducting regular maintenance tasks to ensure the reliability and security of IT systems
* Adhering to established policies, procedures, and best practices for IT service delivery

Required Skills
* Strong technical knowledge of IT systems and infrastructure

Required Experiences
* Prior experience in providing IT support or service desk assistance
