The Compositing Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and delivering all compositing (2D) aspects of an assigned show. This role requires close collaboration with the DFX and VFX Supervisors to ensure the highest creative and technical standards are met on time and within budget.

Role Area Focus Details
Supervision Quality & Consistency Oversee the compositing team, ensuring the use of consistent methodologies to deliver the highest quality work sustainably.
Creative Setting Standards Design the approach for shots, set the creative standard for the team, and work collaboratively with other Department Supervisors to execute the VFX Supervisor's creative vision.
Technical Problem Solving Solve technical problems and develop production methodologies and creative approaches for complex shots.
Management Time & Budget Manage the team's workload, balancing artistic quality with production deadlines and budget constraints.
Candidate Requirements
Category Must Have (Essential) Nice to Have (Bonus)
Experience Prior experience as a 2D Supervisor in the VFX industry. Onset supervision experience.
Leadership Experience managing and supervising a team of 2D Artists. Contribute to the training and mentorship of junior artists.
Technical Advanced experience in Nuke. General experience in both Film and TV production.
Core Knowledge Advanced understanding of the Colour pipeline and client deliverables. Experience working with DNEG's global facilities.
Production Experience in production bidding and project management. –
VFX Flow Good general knowledge of the VFX pipeline and 3D software. –
Creative Eye Critical eye for detail; ability to communicate visual aspects with a clear creative brief. –
