Our organization is seeking an experienced disability support worker to provide care and support to vulnerable members of our community. This role involves performing various tasks to promote the health, hygiene, and general wellbeing of our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support clients to live independently and make informed decisions about their lives.
* Perform health care tasks such as administering medications, wound care, and personal care.
* Transport clients to appointments and activities.
* Deliver programs designed to help clients achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
* Assist with household tasks such as cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation.
* Flexible shifts available to accommodate client needs.
Requirements:
* Tertiary qualifications in disability or community services.
* Experience in mental health and working with diverse populations.
* Minimum 6 months of experience in a similar role.
* A strong desire to have a positive impact on people's lives and a commitment to promoting their individual needs, skills, abilities, and personal goals.
* Personal qualities of resilience, empathy, self-confidence, and patience.
* First Aid certificate / CPR certificate.
* Current drivers license with own transport.
* Police check.
* NDIS worker orientation.
* Working with Children Check.
