While driving high-quality, person‑centred care across Open Minds’ Medicare Mental Health Services, our centres offer assessment, triage, warm referrals, immediate and short-medium term support for people with varying levels of need, including those in crisis.
We’re looking for a Clinical Lead to provide evidence-based psychological care while guiding and supervising the clinical team. The role combines a manageable caseload with leadership responsibilities, ensuring service quality, staff support, and strong client outcomes. Working within the Medicare Mental Health Centre model, the position allows for flexible, responsive client contact and access to integrated on-site support services.
Responsibilities
Build and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders involved in health, mental health, and psychosocial service delivery.
Participate in continuous clinical quality improvement activities, including training, and uphold the organisation’s Model of Practice.
Provide clinical supervision and line management oversight of staff including social workers, mental health nurses and counsellors.
Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and collaboratively develop case formulations and treatment plans for individuals with moderate, severe, and complex mental health needs.
Complete risk assessments and develop practical, robust risk management plans.
Deliver individualised, evidence-based psychological interventions and offer mental health and wellbeing advice or support, contributing to inclusive, high-quality therapeutic services with a solution-focused and change-oriented approach.

Requirements
Tertiary level qualifications as a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse or other clinical disciplines related to mental health.
Current AHPRA registration or AASW eligibility
Current Driver Licence
Current Blue Card
Current National Police Check
Strong knowledge of the mental health system, government policy, legislation, and professional standards and codes of ethics as they pertain to working with people and their mental health.
