About the role
The Australian Red Cross has over 17,000 members and volunteers across Australia to be there for people and communities, when and where it's needed most. Working locally, state-wide, and nationally, this role builds organisational capability to innovate, attract, engage and retain volunteers and members. This role will play a critical role in ensuring that our relationships and communications both externally and internally are relevant, strong, and mutually beneficial.
Day to day, you will:
* Be responsible for attracting, engaging and retaining new and diverse volunteers and members by actively participating in community events, meeting with potential organisations or businesses and assisting with targeted marketing efforts.
* Provide administrative and events management support
* Drive engagement and communication outputs across Red Cross communities in the Territory by delivering and sharing stories, newsletter content and promotion ideas with the Marketing/Communication teams.
* Contribute to the development and piloting of new and innovative approaches to volunteering and membership offering both locally and nationally.
* Support the gathering of insights and data to recommend improvements in operational workflows as well as continuous improvement for volunteers/members experience.
* Promote Red Cross Strategic goals and organisational priorities including our commitment to Reconciliation.
