Our valued Host Company is a national service organisation specialising in safety-critical equipment across the transport and industrial sectors. Main duties will involve installation, services and support wheelchair lifters and tailgate loaders for disability vehicles, buses, community transport providers and fleet operators. They provide compliance inspections, preventative maintenance and urgent breakdown support to ensure mobility passengers remain safe and supported every day.
The work is hands-on, mechanical and safety-critical — ideal for someone who enjoys large workshop equipment and structured maintenance processes. We welcome applicants from any background with strong mechanical or auto-electrical aptitude .
Responsibilities
* Install brand-new wheelchair lifters and tailgate loaders into new vehicles
* Complete electrical wiring, mounting, hydraulic/electric setup & commissioning
* Preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs at customer sites
* Complete digital reports, photos and compliance documentation
* Maintain a professional service vehicle and uphold safety standards
* Liaise with dealerships, fleet clients and end users
Qualifications
* Possess a manual licence with reliable transport
* Be punctual and have a good attendance record
* Be motivated and have a positive attitude
* Follow instructions well
* Able to read basic drawings
* Willing to learn to fabricate to a high standard and within tolerances
* Able to work safely
* Be an Australian citizen or have permanent residency status
* Be open to gaining experience in all facets of the trade.
* Ability to work safely and independently onsite
* White Card (or willingness to obtain)
