About the role:
As a key member of our Rolling Stock Maintenance team, you will carry out essential maintenance and repair activities across our fleet of locomotives, track maintenance equipment, and associated mechanical plant. This role plays a vital part in maintaining high standards of safety, quality, and productivity throughout the business.
Working closely with the Maintenance Supervisor – Locomotives, you will contribute to achieving operational targets and supporting reliable rail operations. The position will transition to a shift-based role during the crushing season, offering a balance of shift and day work across the year.

What We're Looking For:
* A strong focus on safety and a commitment to the wellbeing of colleagues
* Relevant trade qualification (Diesel Fitter, Mechanical Fitter, or equivalent)
* Manual Driver's License
* Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
* Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage tasks efficiently
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Desirable Skills (or willingness to learn):
We'll also highly value the following additional skills, and you will have the chance to gain these qualifications through training:
* Mobile Plant Maintenance
* Gearbox and transmission repair/overhaul
* Welding and use of lathe/milling machines
* Basic Rigging, Forklift, Overhead, and Mobile Crane tickets
