Our client, a prominent player in the payments industry, is seeking a talented Business Development professional to join an existing team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to join an existing team and contribute to the growth of innovative payment solutions (Click to Pay) within a dynamic and expanding market, and with a brand name that needs no introduction. Responsibilities: Contribute to new product business development by initiating contact with potential new customers and managing opportunities through the sales pipeline to a successful close, further extending our customer base and product reach. Prospecting: Identify and qualify potential merchants through research, cold calling, and networking. Lead Generation: Generate leads and set up meetings for the sales team. Progress deals along the pipeline and support local account teams, ensuring all clients utilize the full potential of Click to Pay (C2P) Pipeline Management: Maintain an organized pipeline of prospects and follow up on leads. Metrics and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and provide regular reports. Drive the sales process, from prospecting to executing commercial contracts, ensuring a seamless and efficient sales cycle You will bring to the role: 3-5 years sales/business development experience (ideally working with retailers or acquirers) Ability to develop senior-level relationships quickly and effectively. Ability to manage multiple opportunities simultaneously at various stages of the buying process Excellent communication skills both with customers and within an organisation Willingness to travel within Australia. This role will be offered as an initial 6 months engagement, likely to extend, and work arrangement will be hybrid (ideally 4 days per week in the office, which is close to public transport and parking is available) Sounds like you?
