residential solar + home battery retailer/installer
based in Sydney, and they're looking for a high-impact
Sales Manager
with a drive for growth.
This is a great opportunity for someone who genuinely enjoys setting the engine up first—then scaling it. You'll start hands-on, establishing the team, process, cadence, and performance culture, and as results ramp you'll expand the function into a multi-consultant, high-output operation.

What you'll be responsible for:
Build & scale the sales team
* Design the team structure (roles, targets, onboarding and training).
* Recruit, interview, hire, and onboard sales consultants (in-house and/or outsourced/offshore).
* Establish a high-accountability culture with clear KPIs and performance standards.
Create process & drive performance
* Build and implement the end-to-end sales process: lead intake → qualification → appointments → quoting → follow-up → close → handover.
* Run consistent sales cadence: daily huddles, pipeline reviews, 1:1 coaching, weekly reporting.
* Develop scripts, objection-handling frameworks, and training materials to lift conversion rates.
* Ensure strong CRM discipline (pipeline hygiene, follow-ups, forecasting, reporting)
Own revenue & customer outcomes
* Improve conversion metrics across phone, online enquiries, and in-person channels (events/showroom).
* Coach consultative selling (system sizing, tariff awareness, expectation-setting, customer trust).
* Work closely with operations/install teams to ensure clean handovers, accurate timelines, and minimal cancellations.
* Monitor quote quality, compliance, and customer satisfaction.
What the client is looking for
* 4-8+ years of sales excellence
* ideally within solar/batteries, energy, home improvement, or another high-consideration consultative sales environment.
* Demonstrated ability to
build a team and sales process
(or scale a small team into a high-performing unit).
* Strong coaching capability with structured routines that measurably improve performance.
* KPI-driven mindset (pipeline coverage, show rates, quote-to-close, revenue per lead, forecast accuracy).
* Comfortable working in a CRM and producing clear weekly performance reports.
* Strong communication and sales leadership.
