We are seeking a Unit Manager – Service Operations to lead and oversee multiple services at HMAS Albatross, Nowra (NSW) on a 12-month fixed term parental leave cover. This is a leadership role, managing a team of site managers responsible for hospitality, cleaning, accommodation, and transport services. If you have a can-do attitude, strong organisational skills, and experience managing teams and operations, this is a rewarding role where your leadership will make a real impact on the daily lives of Defence personnel.
The Position
* Oversee multiple service areas including hospitality, cleaning, accommodation, and transport
* Manage and mentor site managers and team leads, fostering a high-performance culture
* Champion a proactive Safety Culture and ensure OH&S compliance
* Maintain high-quality service delivery and customer satisfaction across all services
* Support strategic initiatives and continuous improvement projects
The Person
* Proven leadership and management experience across multiple teams or service areas
* Strong organisational and operational management skills
* Ability to drive results, solve problems, and implement improvements
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to lead managers and liaise with stakeholders
* Commitment to safety, quality, and outstanding service delivery
* Commercial experience in large complex live buildings
