Our client is a global infrastructure investment manager with a growing presence in Australia. They focus on mid-market opportunities across infrastructure. We are seeking an Investment Analyst to support end-to-end investment execution and asset management activity across the Australian portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
* Build, maintain, and review detailed financial models to assess potential investment opportunities and existing portfolio assets.
* Support the execution of transactions, including due diligence, valuation, structuring, and negotiation processes.
* Conduct sector research and market analysis across core infrastructure sectors such as energy, utilities, transport, and digital infrastructure.
* Prepare high-quality investment papers, presentations, and recommendations for the Investment Committee.
* Partner with portfolio company management teams to monitor performance, drive strategic initiatives, and enhance operational efficiency.
* Assist in the preparation of portfolio performance reports, valuations, and investor updates.
* Integrate environmental, social, and governance (ESG) considerations into investment evaluation and asset management activities.
* Support origination efforts by identifying new investment opportunities and maintaining relationships within the infrastructure and investment community
Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, commerce, engineering, or a related discipline.
* 2-4 years of experience in infrastructure investing, investment banking, project finance, infrastructure/core plus funds, or corporate development.
* Demonstrated transaction experience, including due diligence and execution of complex deals.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present clearly to senior stakeholders.
* We will require experience (which will be checked under test conditions) within 3 way statement modelling and project finance modelling (with debt sculpting).
