Reporting directly to the Shift Manager, you'll play a key role in keeping our operations running smoothly. This is a dynamic position on a rotating shift roster, offering variety and the chance to work with cutting‐edge glass manufacturing technology.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitoring condition of Furnaces, Batch House equipment and SCADA systems
* Basic troubleshooting of operational issues
* Monitor the production of glass bottles in both the Forming, Inspecting and Packaging department
* Perform quality inspection checks on newly formed bottles and other procedural checks
* Operate computer production systems and interfaces
* Assist with job changes and associated tasks
* Trouble shoot – assist with general mechanical maintenance & fix minor mechanical problems
* Contribute to a safe working environment for yourself and the team
What You'll Bring
* Previous experience working with a manufacturing environment (preferably glass) and hands on experience operating machines
* A trade background is desirable, however a strong mechanical aptitude is essential
* You will have the ability to work in a challenging environment, hot, dusty and loud
* Strong communication skills, ability to work under pressure and a good eye for detail
* Hours of work: 5-week rotating roster, days, nights and afternoons
