Leadership Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of specialists, driving quality outcomes with efficiency and passion for continuous process improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead, coach and manage the team to excel in achieving production standards associated with production runs and standard conditions & routines associated with safety & the 4m’s (man, machine, method, material)
* Ensure continuous line controls & immediate corrective action (initiating problem solving as applicable)
* Achieve a “zero injury, defect, waste” mindset & promote behaviours that have a positive impact on safety health environment & quality. Promote and manage risk awareness by engaging and coaching the teams
* Lead implementation of SHE & QA objectives, practices and procedures
* Ensure compliance to regulatory requirements
* Ensure maintenance reliability of installations in coordination with Quality, Engineering & Administration
* Contribute to the smooth operation of factory through effective employee and industrial relations management
* Excel in systems & administration e.g., rostering, Kronos, DMO, SAP etc
Requirements:
* Minimum 3+ years previous experience in a supervisory or managerial role, ideally, within a FMCG production environment
* Possess knowledge in food manufacturing or degree/diploma in food sciences or engineering
* Experience in change management and exposure to continuous improvement techniques
* Demonstrated ability to lead, train and develop a group of people
* Excellent people management skills, with a continuous improvement mind-set and demonstrable experience in leading and engaging a team to motivate and enhance performance
* Strong communication, negotiation, problem solving, analysis, decision-making abilities
