About the role:
Alpine Health supports parents from Alpine communities with antenatal (before birth) and postnatal (after birth) services, to help them on their pregnancy and parenting journey. Our small team of caring and skilled health professionals includes local midwives and GP Obstetricians, who work together with clients, birthing hospitals and other health services.
The Registered Midwife (RM) is a key member of the multidisciplinary healthcare team and is responsible for ensuring that clinical practice and delivery of care is consistent with the Nursing and Midwifery Board standards, competency standards, Alpine Health clinical policy and procedures, Alpine Health values and code of conduct.
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
* Providing patient-centered comprehensive, safe and evidence-based practice across a range of contexts; including antenatal, postnatal, breastfeeding, classes, groups, home and service-based care.
* Performing self-assessment of scope of practice and competence, related to assigned responsibilities.
* Their individual actions and be accountable for the care provided.
Who we are looking for:
We are seeking applications from Registered Midwives with the following qualifications and experience:
* Registered Midwife with a current Registration Certificate from AHPRA
* Demonstrated evidence to ongoing personal and professional development
* Drivers License valid in Victoria
* Established capacity or enthusiasm to gain capacity, for working within rural health settings.
* Experience or willingness to learn community midwifery skills and working independently.
