Senior Accountant – Financial Controls & Provisions (Shared Services)
AUD 110000 - 115000 per annum, plus 12% Super +
Full-time | Adelaide | Hybrid working
A leading national retailer is seeking an experienced accountant to support employee-related financial provisions and insurance obligations within a large-scale shared services environment.
You'll manage key month-end processes across workers compensation, public liability and general insurance.
This is a hands-on role involving complex reconciliations, controls testing and business partnering across internal teams.
Key responsibilities
Prepare and review P&L; and balance sheet accounts relating to employee provisions
Reconcile complex accounts with clear documentation and resolution planning
Maintain strong financial controls in line with GAAP and internal policies
Support control testing and reporting within corporate governance programs
Drive process improvements and test system changes (UAT)
What you'll bring
CA or CPA qualified (or near completion)
5+ years' experience in financial accounting, preferably in shared services or retail
Supervisory experience of junior team members
Proven process improvement skills
Strong skills in reconciliations, controls and financial reporting
Advanced Excel and SAP/BPC/GCP experience
Analytical mindset with ability to partner across teams
