The Remuneration Advisor plays a key role within the broader Finance team, supporting Barwon Water to meet its Enterprise Agreement, statutory and legislative obligations with confidence and care.
You’ll support payroll processing for the Barwon Water Group across multiple Enterprise Agreements, ensuring the accurate and timely fortnightly payment of employees and the smooth delivery of all statutory requirements. Beyond core processing, this role has a strong focus on how payroll is delivered - identifying opportunities to strengthen systems, improve processes and streamline ways of working.
As a trusted technical expert in payroll, you’ll provide high-quality advice and guidance to employees and people leaders, responding thoughtfully to remuneration and entitlement queries. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the payroll team, sharing your knowledge, supporting capability uplift and contributing to a function that is efficient, modern and resilient.

You bring a technical foundation in payroll and remuneration services, paired with a natural curiosity and a genuine desire to make things better. You enjoy working with detail and complexity, while also stepping back to consider system improvements, automation opportunities and smarter ways of delivering payroll services.
Relationship-focused and collaborative by nature, you communicate with clarity and empathy and are comfortable offering guidance and support to others. Engaging with colleagues is a strength of yours and they will value your approachability, reliability and generosity with your expertise.
You’re organised, self-motivated and committed to accuracy, with experience working in payroll systems and an interest in continuous improvement. Relevant qualifications or professional development in payroll or remuneration may further support your success in this role.
