About the Role:
We are looking for a self-motivated team player to join our Investment team at Weave Living Australia to support the growth of our business in Australia. This role will be based in the Sydney office.
Responsibilities Include:
* Support the Investment team of Weave Living Australia in research, underwriting and due diligence of co-living, PBSA, serviced apartments, BTR and conversion opportunities.
* Conduct market and investment research and maintain strong market knowledge by developing sound relationships with research houses, brokers and other market participants.
* Triangulating data points through primary and secondary research to develop a holistic view of the competitive / industry landscape and regulations to pre-emptively identify threats and opportunities.
* Support in asset-level and fund-level capital raising to grow AUM, including preparation of project investment memorandum and capital raising materials.
* Stay up-to-date with market's cost structures (including CAPEX, OPEX, regulatory and tax) and rent levels for residential and retail
* Assist drafting of recurring reporting requirements to JV partners.
* Handle ad-hoc jobs as and when required.
Requirements:
* 2-5 years of experience in Real Estate Finance, Management or Strategy Consulting, Investment Banking, Big 4 Advisory, or other Corporate Finance/Strategy roles would be preferred.
* Demonstrable familiarity and/or interest in financial modelling and valuation, financial statement analysis, due diligence, data analysis and presentation skills.
* Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally with stakeholders from different countries and various backgrounds.
* Outside of the box thinker, a self-starter, passionate, and hungry to contribute and grow.
Prefer to have:
* Candidates with direct real estate investment and property brokerage experience in Australia.
* Bachelor's degree in accounting, Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or equivalent is preferred.
