Job DescriptionSpecialised & Precision Engineering, located in Exmouth, WA, is an engineering company offering excellent consultancy, design, project management, manufacturing, transport and installation on our metal fabrication services. We seek an experienced Boilermaker/Welder to join our team.
Responsibilities
* Studying drawing and specifications to determine appropriate set-up and welding processes.
* Assembling and aligning parts to be joined using hand tools and measuring instruments.
* Selecting, cleaning and preparing metal stock.
* Complying with industry standards and requirements.
* Ensure the quality of fabricated materials.
* Using thermal cutting machinery and tools to cut outlined metal sections and shapes.
* Cleaning and preparing surfaces for welding.
* Shaping pipes and metal sections using tools, machinery and by way of flame heating, hammering and bending.
* Working with hand tools including chisels, hammers, weld gauges.
* Working with power tools including buffing wheels, polishers, drills.
* Utilising various welding techniques to join metal sections and parts.
* Cleaning and smoothing welds by filing, chiselling and grinding.
* Implementing the OHS procedures that are required to complete a job safely, including use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
* Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
About you
Qualifications: Australia AQF Certificate III in Engineering, Fabrication or equivalent. Minimum of 2 Years Trade Experience. Summary of role Requirements:
* Full time position
* 2-3 Years Relevant work experience required for this role.
* Expected Full Time Salary $80,000
