CELOTTI WORKFORCE is currently partnering with a leading international contractor delivering major Defence infrastructure works at RAAF Base Darwin, as part of a large-scale, multi-year program. We are seeking an experienced Project Manager with a strong background in heavy civil construction to take ownership of a key project package within this high-profile development. Project Scope This is a rare opportunity to join a major Defence project currently in the construction phase, delivering critical aviation and infrastructure upgrades. Large-scale aircraft apron construction (25 aircraft capacity) Bulk earthworks, demolition & PFAS remediation Installation of utilities (water, sewer, stormwater, electrical, communications) Delivery of supporting infrastructure including pump stations, substations, and aviation facilities Associated vertical structures (hangars, maintenance and support buildings) Project duration extends through to 2027–2028, offering long-term stability and pipeline continuity. Key Responsibilities Reporting to the Project Executive, you will: Lead the end-to-end delivery of a major project package Manage all stakeholder interfaces including client, consultants, and subcontractors Oversee design, construction, safety, quality, and commercial outcomes Drive programme, cost, and risk performance Chair project meetings and ensure clear communication across all disciplines Ensure compliance with Defence and high-security site requirements Our Ideal Candidate 10 years’ experience in construction, with 5 years as a Project Manager Proven delivery of heavy civil infrastructure projects ($20M) Experience across earthworks, pavements, utilities, and infrastructure Exposure to vertical/structures packages within civil programs (e.g. substations, pump stations, facilities) Strong leadership across multidisciplinary teams Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Experience in Defence, USACE, NAVFAC or high-compliance environments (highly regarded) Baseline/NV1 Police check will be required What We Can Offer: Salary starting at $230, 000 per annum Competitive salary based on experience Opportunities for professional development 10 - 12hr days - overtime available On-going work with project running up to 2-3 years To Apply: If this is a position you could see yourself in please click APPLY, or get in touch with Rachel from CELOTTI WORKFORCE on 0489 264 602, or send your resume to rachel.v@celotti.com.au.
