About the role
Mr Spiros handmade Yiros is seeking an experienced Kitchen Manager to lead our culinary team. As Kitchen Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality meals to our customers.
This is a full-time position based in Nobby Beach, Gold Coast restaurant.
What you'll be doing
* Manage all aspects of the kitchen, including inventory, staffing, and workflow.
* Develop and implement kitchen policies and procedures to maintain efficient and effective operations.
* Oversee food preparation, presentation, and plating to ensure consistency and quality.
* Train, mentor, and supervise the kitchen staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
* Ensure compliance with all food safety and health regulations.
* Collaborate with the management team to develop and implement new menu items and initiatives.
* Monitor and control kitchen costs to maximise profitability.
What we're looking for
* Minimum of 2 years of experience as a Kitchen Manager or Head Chef in a similar restaurant environment.
* Proven track record of leading and motivating a kitchen team to achieve excellence.
* Excellent knowledge of food preparation techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.
* Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Tertiary qualification in Culinary Arts or equivalent is highly desirable.
