Senior Business Analyst

FinXL is seeking a Senior Business Analyst to join our consulting team and be deployed with a leading insurance client on a key Workers Compensation transformation engagement. The successful candidate will be a high-level communicator capable of navigating complex regulatory landscapes while leveraging modern productivity tools.
Responsibilities
* Document \"As Is\" and \"To Be\" business processes.
* Develop comprehensive requirements and detailed user stories.
* Define clear acceptance criteria for project deliverables.
* Facilitate workshops with large, cross-functional business areas.
* Articulate complex concepts clearly and present strategic insights to senior leadership and executive stakeholders.
* Translate complex business needs into technical specifications.
* Interpret technical terminology to enable broader business understanding.
* Drive pathways through ambiguity to facilitate decision-making.
Key Skills & Experience
* 5+ years of experience as a Senior Business Analyst.
* Strong background in General Insurance and Financial Services.
* Proven experience delivering risk and regulatory projects.
* Knowledge of taxation rulings, claims settlements, or PAYG withholding.
* Expertise in business transformation and process re-design.
* Exceptional presentation skills with the ability to influence at the GM and EGM level.
* AI Proficiency: Experience using AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Midjourney, Otter.ai) to accelerate documentation, analysis, or delivery is highly beneficial. Note: Our client has integrated Microsoft Copilot into their ecosystem; familiarity with this tool is a significant advantage.
* Strong problem-solving skills with a focus on functional analysis.
