Located in Bayswater VIC we are currently seeking a qualified Boilermaker/Welder, experienced using various welding techniques, such as MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Pulse welding (GMAW-P), STT and FCAW.
Tasks Include:
* Ensure sufficient task analyses are completed to carry work out safely.
* Ensure all work is performed as per job cards and ITPs and current schedule of work.
* Ensure all work is carried out to quality specification requirements and that documentation is completed.
* Adherence to qualified weld procedures.
* use various welding techniques to join metal sections
* Making accurate, correct and aligned weld joints and intersections using hand tools and measuring instruments
* Selecting the correct material, cleaning and preparing metal stock
* forming and rolling material into required shapes and sizes hand and machine tools.
* self-examination of weld quality and consistency to required specifications.
* grinding and cutting (friction and gas cutting)
* cleaning, polishing, filing, sanding and pickling.
* Removing spatter, cleaning and dressing welds by sanding, wire buff and gridding.

Commencing immediately the successful person will have:
* Strong MIG (GMAW), TIG (GTAW), Pulse welding (GMAW-P), STT and FCAW welding skills.
* Understand and interpret workshop drawings
* Must be reliable, accountable and dependable
* A strong team focus with the right attitude & attention to detail
* Ability to be able to work autonomously
* A can-do attitude
* At least three years of relevant experience required.
