CatholicCare is transitioning to a modern, skills-based governance model as a company limited by guarantee. The newly established Board will hold responsibility for:

* Financial oversight and stewardship

Director Responsibilities
As a Director, you will:
* Safeguard and promote Catholic identity and ethos (support is available where needed)
* Provide strategic oversight and guidance to the Executive Director
* Govern for sustainability, quality and community impact
* Oversee financial, risk, safety and service performance systems
* Model ethical and effective governance practice
* Act as an ambassador for CatholicCare within the community and stakeholder networks
Skills and Experience – What We’re Looking For
* Governance understanding, strategic judgement, legal and financial/commercial literacy
* Support CatholicCare’s mission of compassion, respect, integrity, justice & hope
* Ability to engage collaboratively with diverse stakeholders
* Experience with risk oversight and quality service delivery
* Commitment to CatholicCare’s values and purpose
Highly Valued
* Experience in Not for Profit (NfPs); community services, health, or government-funded programs
* Understanding of regional and rural service delivery challenges
* Knowledge of Catholic identity, mission or theology (not mandatory)
