**Senior Agronomist Role**
Job Overview
The Senior Agronomist will lead the development and implementation of broadacre cropping strategies to enhance productivity and efficiency in southern Queensland.
This position involves assessing new agronomic technologies, collaborating with growers, and showcasing best practices for sustainable production methods.
* Lead the design and execution of research projects focused on improving cotton yields and reducing greenhouse gas emissions.
* Engage with growers to test and evaluate established and emerging agronomic techniques.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and develop innovative solutions for soil borne cotton diseases.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of broadacre cropping systems, crop agronomy, and excellent communication skills to work effectively with growers and their advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
* Skill 1: Extensive knowledge of broadacre cropping systems and associated crop agronomy.
* Skill 2: Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate with growers and their advisors.
* Skill 3: Ability to conduct and manage field-based research using on-farm methods.
Requirements:
* Bachelor degree or higher in agricultural science, applied science, rural science or equivalent.
* A current C class driver's license.
