About the job The Warehouse Leading Hand is an exciting and dynamic leadership role within Opella Warehouse team, by providing innovative leadership and strategic direction. This motivated person will be working with and guiding warehouse staff, ensuring tasks are completed efficiently and safely. Your enthusiastic and results-driven attitude will help us maintain our prominent quality and safety standards and uphold our high levels of customer fulfilment. It will also involve assisting in onboarding new team members and providing ongoing support and training. This role has true ownership of the warehouse across the organisation with opportunities for regular senior management exposure. Beyond delivery of results this person will be able to shape processes, operating model and culture as Opella builds for the future. Main Responsibilities Leading by example in the drive to reach and exceed operational goals and quality standards. Providing mentoring, direction, and day to day supervision to the warehouse team. Coordinating workflows to ensure efficient inbound/picking and dispatch of stock to customers accurately and on time, stock rotation and storage, as well as support for the Manufacturing department. Ensuring effective and safe compliance with work procedures, quality processes, and service standards. Ensure inbound deliveries are received accurately and in a timely manner. Plan and distribute appropriate resources to meet daily volumes. Populate daily reports and distribute to appropriate departments. General housekeeping requirements. General admin duties from time to time. Provide support to the Warehouse Manager as required About you Qualifications Qualifications in Warehousing/Logistics advantageous Valid forklift license (LF) is essential - with experience in forklift operating Experience Experience with SAP is highly desirable 2 years’ experience as a Team Leader with demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and drive accountability within a small team- including picking staff Background in Manufacturing industry is a must- FMCG preferred A track record of proven hands-on leadership and management skills, with experience managing a small team, including picking staff Skills: Team player with excellent communication skills Strong coordination skills Accuracy, attention to detail and highly organised Ability to prioritise work to meet deadlines in a fast pace, high-volume environment and use your initiative Good physical fitness and ability to lift heavy materials Why us?
