About us
Avon Community Services is a not-for-profit charity that has proudly served Wheatbelt communities for almost 40 years with dedicated youth centres, programs and services. We are passionate about providing opportunities and supporting local young people to meet their needs and aspirations.
About the role
This newly created position in the organisation provides expert leadership, practice oversight and supervision support to our youth workers across the Wheatbelt to deliver youth programs and case management including through our youth centres in Northam, Merredin, Moora and Narrogin and our supported youth accommodation service in Northam.
The role drives continuous improvement in service delivery ensuring high-quality, trauma-informed, culturally safe and child safe services that improve outcomes for vulnerable young people. It supports the implementation of strategic goals, manages risk and ensures compliance with legislative and contractual requirements.
As a Practice Lead you will provide:

About you
Your passion for empowering others combined with your tertiary qualifications in Social Work, Youth Work, Psychology (or a related discipline) and your significant social sector experience in case management and youth development as well as managing staff and leading teams will see you successfully navigate this pivotal role.
Successful candidates must have a relevant tertiary qualification and maintain a current National Police Clearance, Working With Children Check, and an unrestricted Drivers Licence.
