Electronic Technician Role
This is a standalone position where you will hit the ground running.
As an Electronic Technician, your primary responsibility will be to install new equipment and diagnose/repair electronics. You will also perform routine servicing and inspections of laboratory equipment. To succeed in this role, you should demonstrate strong mechanical skills and enjoy performing tasks with your hands.
Duties and Responsibilities:
* Maintain and repair electronic components and systems
* Install, commission and train on new equipment
* Provide post-installation troubleshooting, preventive maintenance, and repair as required virtually and on-site
* Maintain inventory of equipment
* Manage service contract scheduling
Requirements:
To be successful as an Electronic Technician, you should have:
* An Electronics Diploma or relevant experience
* A solid understanding of workshop operations, instrumentation, and electronics service and maintenance
* The ability to solder (Raspberry PI) and use diagnostic tools
* Software, firmware, and hardware experience
* Proficiency in using diagnostic tools, and other equipment necessary for repairs
* Excellent IT/PC literacy skills and basic networking across Windows and Linux environments
* Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
* A clear understanding of food safety protocols
* The ability to learn quickly and adapt to change
