What You'll Do
* Run full-function weekly payroll for a state
* Process payroll every Wednesday, with Thursday/Friday dedicated to queries and updates
* Manage employee onboarding, changes, terminations and adjustments
* Produce month-end payroll reports
* Partner with Finance, HR, and operations to ensure accuracy and compliance
* Contribute to ongoing process and system improvements

What You'll Bring:
You're a switched-on, detail-focused Payroll Officer capable of taking full responsibility for a 250-headcount weekly payroll. You'll be trained by a high performer who is transitioning into another state team: giving you a smooth, supportive handover.
* Proven end-to-end payroll experience
* Confidence running your own payroll autonomously
* Strong communication and stakeholder management
* A genuine interest in improving systems and workflows
