AI Platform Engineer (6 Month Contract)

The Role
You'll work hands-on across AI platform architecture, agent frameworks, and LLM optimisation, partnering closely with product and engineering teams to deliver reliable, production-grade AI capabilities.
Key Responsibilities
* Design and implement multi-agent RAG applications for complex, real-world workflows.
* Improve agent caching strategies to enhance performance and reduce latency.
* Optimise LLM cost, throughput, and response quality across production systems.
* Implement security controls within agent architectures (permissions, data access, guardrails).
* Apply grounding and factuality-checking techniques to reduce hallucinations and improve trust.
* Monitor, evaluate, and continuously improve AI platform performance in production.
Skills & Experience
* Strong experience building LLM-powered applications in production.
* Hands-on with RAG architectures, agent frameworks, and orchestration patterns.
* Proven experience optimising LLM cost, token usage, and inference efficiency.
* Solid understanding of AI security, data access controls, and safe AI design.
* Experience with grounding techniques (retrieval validation, citations, factuality checks).
* Strong engineering background (Python preferred; cloud-native experience highly valued).
