Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate PRN Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to provide high-quality rehabilitation services on an as-needed basis. The PTA will work closely with Physical Therapists to implement treatment plans, assist patients in restoring movement and function, and contribute to their overall recovery and well-being.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist the Physical Therapist in evaluating patients and executing treatment plans.
* Provide direct therapy services, including therapeutic exercises, manual therapy techniques, and mobility training.
* Educate patients on therapeutic techniques and proper use of assistive devices.
* Observe and document patient progress and report any changes to the Physical Therapist.
* Maintain accurate and timely records of therapy sessions in compliance with regulatory guidelines.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care.
* Adhere to ethical and professional standards of practice in physical therapy.
Qualifications
* Education: Associate degree from an accredited Physical Therapist Assistant program.
* Licensure: Active Physical Therapy Assistant license in Missouri
* Experience: Prior experience in rehabilitation or clinical settings preferred.
* Skills: Strong interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
* Certifications: CPR certification (preferred).
Work Environment
* PRN (as-needed) position with flexible scheduling.
* Work settings may include hospitals, outpatient clinics, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments.
* Requires adaptability and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a care team.
