The group employs more than 200 Australians and maintains relationships with the National Trust and Indigenous communities.
We are seeking a Group Accountant to support our growth while ensuring compliance and governance.
What you will bring to the role
* Degree in accounting, finance, or related field; CPA/CA preferred.
* Minimum 5 years' experience in senior accounting or financial management; experience in mining/civil contracting preferred.
* Advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
* Strong attention to detail, analytical, and reporting skills.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work strategically and operationally in a fast-paced environment with an inquisitive mindset.
What you will be doing
* Manage day-to-day financial transactions, reporting, and compliance for a multi-faceted business.
* Oversee financial statements and management reports accuracy.
* Ensure compliance with Australian accounting standards and tax legislation.
* Assist with cash flow, working capital, and treasury management.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to improve financial processes.
* Support the COO with financial data for board presentations and efficiency improvements.
