Overview
Are you looking to join a business where you can make a difference, constantly be challenged and supported to grow? We are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join our finance team. This role is perfect for someone who is either:
* early in their accounting career and looking for a role that will develop a broad commercial skill set, that will set a platform for future success; or
* someone who is an experienced accounting professional seeking a steady, well-defined role that offers balance and flexibility.
A typical day could look something like the following:
* Day-to-day accounting and reporting for our Used Vehicle business unit
* Insights and Analysis
* Registering financing statements over our vehicles
* Amending / removing financing statements
* Responding to queries from customers and financiers
* Resolving issues including performing root cause analysis and putting in place process improvements
* Managing and processing our payroll cycle
* Managing the lodgement of superannuation, payroll tax and workers compensation insurance
* Opening & closing financial periods each month
* Reviewing and processing any transactions stuck in our D365 or Optimus systems
* Reconcile our toll road provider account
* Assist in preparation of monthly BAS returns
* General balance sheet reconciliations
* Work with our build team to maintain TR's capital commitments register
* Reconcile our monthly payment back to our Supplier reconciliations
We are looking for someone with experience around the following:
* Working towards your Chartered Accountant qualification.
* Two to three years Accounting / Finance experience.
* You have preferred working rights in Australia.
