NP Style Signage & Graphics is a Darwin based business, founded in 2019 by Territory born and bred owner-operator, Nyla. ?Nyla has a diverse range of experience in the sign-writing/graphics industry and prides herself and her team on delivering quality services to a loyal customer base within the Darwin/Palmerston Region and throughout the Northern Territory. At NP Style, we are focused on increasing our productivity, product availability and being able to give our customers a better quality, affordable & satisfied end result.
And to do this, we are continually re-investing back into the business by purchasing the latest equipment as well as up-skilling our team with ongoing training. Our services include; design, print, installation services and we also subcontract to other local companies. We are looking for a talented ILLUSTRATOR to create high-quality artwork for our digital and print productions.
As an Illustrator, you are required to work closely with our clients and marketing team to develop inspiring artwork that will attract our target audience. You will be responsible for formulating concepts and render and prepare pictures and diagrams to communicate messages, clarify meaning, assist in presentations and illustrate stories. The role includes but is not limited to:
Brainstorming with the marketing and design team to create visual concepts and develop illustrations for various purposes Prepare and design rough draft illustrations according to client specifications Collaborate with clients or art directors to determine the scope and requirements of illustration projects
Research and gather reference materials to inform the design and development of illustrations Sketch preliminary ideas and concepts for illustrations Refine and finalise illustrations, image designs using illustration software
Use drawing, painting, drafting, collage and other techniques to create illustrations Enhance the design concept using a wide range of colors and graphics Utilise image capture and manipulation software to enhance and modify illustrations
Create illustrations that effectively communicate messages and clarify meaning Adapt illustration styles and techniques to suit different projects and target audiences Outline budget or time limitations
Ensure printed illustrations meet specified colour and quality standards. Required skills and qualifications: Proven working experience in the same field for at least 3+ years
A strong portfolio demonstrating creative range and technical ability Work experience using computer-aided design (CAD) software Drawing, painting and digital drawing skills
Knowledge of image editing and design software such as Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines Strong conceptual and artistic skills
Ability to work well within a team A talent for creativity and problem-solving Ability to handle multiple projects in a fast past work environment
