Full-Time Mixed Crop & Livestock Position

Salary: $76,600 per annum plus super based on 42hrs/week

About the Role
We are seeking a motivated and reliable individual to join our mixed farming operation in a full-time capacity. This hands-on role involves responsibility across both cropping and livestock enterprises, with a strong focus on managing seasonal cropping programs, livestock husbandry, and machinery maintenance.
This position suits someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative, and is committed to maintaining high standards across all aspects of farm operations.
Key Responsibilities
Cropping Operations
* Manage and carry out winter and summer cropping programs, including irrigated crops.
* Operate farm machinery for seeding, spraying, harvesting, and general fieldwork
* Monitor crop performance, inputs, and seasonal conditions
* Maintain records related to cropping activities
Livestock Management
* Day-to-day livestock husbandry, including feeding, health checks, and general care
* Assist with breeding, marking, weaning, and livestock movements
* Maintain animal welfare and biosecurity standards
Machinery & Farm Maintenance
* Operation and routine maintenance of tractors, harvesters, and farm implements
* Identify and carry out basic mechanical repairs
* General farm maintenance including fencing, yards, and infrastructure
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in mixed cropping and livestock farming preferred
* Competent machinery operation with a good understanding of John Deere Guidance
* Mechanical aptitude
* Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
* Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors
* Current driver's licence required (HR or MC licence an advantage)
