Job Description
As State Sales Manager, you\'ll lead a team of sales engineers to deliver profitable growth across your region.
You\'ll manage key accounts, including consultants and government departments, while identifying recent market opportunities and driving strategic initiatives.
Responsibilities include forecasting, budgeting, account planning, and reporting nationally.
You\'ll also oversee product launches, staff training, and ensure compliance with quality, safety, and environmental standards.
The Successful Applicant
Holds a degree in electrical or electronics engineering
Has 5 plus years\' experience in technical sales or a defined target market
Proven track record in developing new business and managing key accounts
Strong leadership skills with experience managing and motivating teams
Skilled in solution selling and project management
Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building abilities
Highly organised with effective time management and prioritisation skills
Comfortable with strategic planning, forecasting, and reporting
Professional approach to customer engagement and sales presentations
Familiar with compliance, quality systems, and sustainability practices
Proactive, results-oriented, and committed to continuous improvement
Able to collaborate cross-functionally and contribute to national strategy
