About the Role
3Bridges is seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Payroll Officer to support the delivery of accurate and compliant payroll services across the organisation.
Reporting to the Payroll Manager, this role is responsible for the end-to-end payroll function, ensuring timely and accurate processing in line with legislative and Award requirements. You will play a key role in maintaining payroll integrity, supporting system improvements, and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement.
This role is ideal for a payroll professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, has strong attention to detail, and is passionate about delivering high-quality service to internal stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
* Manage end-to-end payroll processing, including timesheets, superannuation, salary packaging, and workers compensation
* Respond to payroll-related queries and provide accurate advice to employees
* Ensure compliance with SCHCADS Award, NES, and relevant legislation
* Maintain accurate employee payroll records and implement changes as required
* Conduct payroll data audits and support data cleansing activities
* Review and improve payroll processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy
* Prepare ad hoc payroll reports and provide insights to management
* Work collaboratively with People & Culture and Finance teams to ensure compliance
* Support financial audits and organisational reporting requirements
* Assist the Payroll Manager and team with broader payroll and system initiatives
About You
You are a highly organised and detail-focused payroll professional with the ability to manage competing priorities and deliver accurate outcomes.
You will bring:
* Proven experience in end-to-end payroll processing (ideally in a standalone role)
* Experience interpreting Awards and payroll legislation (SCHCADS, Children Services awards experience highly regarded)
* Proficiency in payroll systems (2C9 or any cloud-based environment preferred) and Microsoft Excel
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail
* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
* A proactive approach to continuous improvement
