Pharmacy Student or Dispensary Technician Job Summary
This part-time opportunity is designed to support the delivery of pharmacy services at a busy retail pharmacy location. The Pharmacy Student or Dispensary Technician will work closely with pharmacists to assist with prescription dispensing procedures, patient counseling, and other tasks as required.
Key Responsibilities:
* Assist Pharmacists in dispensing prescriptions and maintain accurate records
* Counsel patients on medication use under pharmacist supervision
* Maintain stock ordering, rotation, and storage systems to ensure efficiency and accuracy
* Manage PBS claims and process transactions accurately
* Packaging for nursing homes and implement changes as needed
* Process prescriptions and handle customer transactions
* Perform other duties as assigned by management
Requirements:
* Current Dispensary Technician Qualification or enrolled in a Pharmacy degree program
* Strong interpersonal and organisational skills to communicate effectively with patients and team members
* Excellent customer service and communication skills to deliver high-quality patient care
* Dedicated work ethic and strong team player ability to contribute to a collaborative environment
* Attention to detail and accuracy to ensure data integrity and quality patient care
* Strong literacy and numeracy skills to perform administrative tasks efficiently
* Experience with FRED dispense system and Webster packing preferred but not essential
