Job Summary
The Construction Project Coordinator will oversee the organization and direction of construction activities within assigned areas of responsibility. This includes ensuring job site operations are compliant with design/specifications, completed on schedule, and to quality standards. The role involves acting as a client contact for all job site activities or coordinating with client representatives.
Main Responsibilities
* Responsible for managing the Construction mine site as alternate Site Safety Engineer (SSE) and performs the functions of an SSE when the Site Manager/SSE is absent from the mine construction site.
* Manages the field workforce organization to ensure the job site organization is comprised of qualified and knowledgeable personnel.
* Establishes, coordinates, and implements construction schedules, manning charts, and material/equipment requirements.
* Controls job site expenditures in assigned areas for labor, equipment, material, and services.
* Ensures subordinate personnel receive progressive training.
* Manages craft resources as assigned and coordinates the activities with designated managers and corporate craft resources department.
* Administers a security plan and coordinates the activities with the corporate security department.
* Plans and implements procedures to ensure construction operations adhere to engineering designs, specifications, quality standards, schedules, and budget.
* Coordinates construction operations to ensure they coincide with overall established schedules.
* Establishes field procedures and objectives within corporate policies and procedures.
* Provides visible leadership and adequate resources to support implementation of project health and safety management systems.
* Reviews and provides input to health and safety management plans, training plan, emergency response plan, and other HSMS plans as needed.
* Maintains an emergency response plan and develops specific emergency response plans.
