Opportunity Overview
We are seeking a qualified finance professional to join our team in supporting the growth of our automotive dealership group. This role offers an exciting opportunity for an experienced accountant or financial controller to take on a dynamic and autonomous position.
The Role
This is a hands-on opportunity to be part of the start-up of two new dealerships, based at the Springwood site. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for the full finance function, including payroll, and will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on the business.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare monthly management reports, profit and loss statements, and forecasts.
* Monitor cash flow, budgets, and variance analysis.
* Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations.
* Maintain accurate vehicle stock control and floorplan reporting.
* Lead end-of-month processes, reconciliations, and financial close.
* Liaise with external auditors and internal teams as needed.
* Oversee procurement and supplier agreements.
* Manage payroll and oversee HR compliance.
About You:
* Previous experience in a dealership or automotive accounting is essential, preferably across multiple franchises.
* CPA/CA qualification would be highly regarded.
* Strong understanding of dealership operations and DMS platforms.
* Dealership Start-Up experience highly regarded.
* Advanced Excel skills.
* High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and time management.
* Able to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
* A proactive, solutions-focused attitude with genuine desire to engage with the broader team.
* Dedicated to efficiency with proven experience in automation and continuous improvement.
* Genuine passion for the automotive industry.
