Land Acquisition and Development Manager
The Land Acquisition and Development Manager will be responsible for identifying, researching, and appraising new sites for development. The successful candidate will lead negotiations with vendors and agents to secure the best possible terms and prices.
This role requires strong commercial acumen, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work under pressure. The successful candidate will also be responsible for regularly reviewing and updating site valuations and budgets to reflect current proposals and values.
To succeed in this role, you will need:
* Significant experience in land acquisition and development, preferably in the New Homes sector;
* A solid understanding of land purchase processes and relevant legislations;
* Knowledge of design and construction processes;
* Confidence in chairing land meetings and engaging with consultants;
* High commercial acumen and awareness;
* Ability to build relationships and interact effectively with stakeholders;
* Strong organisational, planning, and workload management skills, with the ability to work under pressure;
* Confidence in leading presentations and group meetings;
* Vision, commitment, and enthusiasm for change;
* An influential character with strong listening and negotiation skills;
* Resilience and perseverance during challenging negotiations;
* A degree in a relevant discipline, such as Real Estate, Town Planning, or Urban Planning.
