We're seeking an experienced Construction Labourer / Site Support worker for a long-term refurbishment project based in Wollongong. We're looking for someone who understands how a construction site operates, works with attention to detail, and is comfortable supporting trades in a live refurbishment environment.
• Large-scale refurbishment works in an active operational environment
• Mix of internal, external and façade works
• Structured, builder-led site with clear systems and expectations
• Long-term project with ongoing work for the right person
THE ROLE
This position suits someone with hands-on site experience, such as:
• Carpentry Trades Assistant / Offsider
• Experienced site support worker from refurb or fit-out projects
• Construction worker trusted with prep, protection and presentation
KEY DUTIES
• Assisting site and other trades
• Site prep, protection and set-out assistance
• Materials handling and organisation
• Using basic hand tools for general site tasks
• Maintaining strong site presentation and housekeeping standards
• Participating in toolboxes and following site procedures
•Operating counterbalance forklift
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
• Proven construction site experience (refurb / fit-out preferred)
• Confidence using basic hand tools (drills, impact drivers, levels, etc.) If you also have your own tools that is highly regarded
• Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship
• Able to work independently with minimal supervision
• Reliable, punctual and safety-focused
• 6 months experience operating counterbalance forklift
REQUIREMENTS
• Construction White Card
• Available to start ASAP
• Valid Australian working rights
• Own reliable transport and Driver's Licence
• Forklift licence
