The Role
In this key role, you will oversee all aspects of project delivery including programming, procurement, contract administration, financial management, quality assurance, WHS compliance, stakeholder management and client relationships.
This role is suited to an experienced construction professional who can lead project teams, manage subcontractors and suppliers, and consistently deliver projects ahead of programme and within budget.
Key Responsibilities
Project Delivery
* Lead and manage projects from commencement through to completion and handover.
* Coordinate Site Managers, Foremen, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Chair Project Control Group (PCG) meetings and subcontractor meetings.
Programming & Time Management
* Develop and regularly update detailed construction programmes using Microsoft Project.
* Forecast trade and supplier requirements.
* Prepare monthly reports covering programme status and milestones.
* Manage project budgets, cost control and profitability.
* Review subcontractor claims and certify progress payments.
* Track variations, provisional sums and final accounts.
* Prepare monthly financial reports and cost forecasts.
Procurement & Contracts
* Prepare and issue tender packages including scopes of work, drawings and specifications.
* Negotiate and award subcontract agreements.
* Administer head contracts and subcontract agreements.
* Manage RFIs, site instructions, contract variations and EOTs.
Quality Assurance
* Implement and maintain quality control systems.
* Drive a culture focused on quality outcomes and customer satisfaction.
Health, Safety & Environment
* Ensure compliance with all WHS, environmental and quality procedures.
* Identify risks and implement mitigation strategies.
Stakeholder Management
* Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, consultants, subcontractors and suppliers.
* Deliver exceptional customer service throughout the project lifecycle.
Qualifications & Experience
* Ideally, you will have proven experience as a Project Manager delivering multi-storey residential and commercial construction projects from $5M to $50M+.
