Qualifications
Formal qualifications are not required, but tertiary education in mechanical installation or maintenance are valued. At least 3 years of relevant experience in mechanical assembly, equipment maintenance, or industrial machinery servicing is essential.
Key Responsibilities
As Mechanical Technicians, you will support the installation and servicing of custom-built automated equipment used in advanced manufacturing. You will work closely with engineering, maintenance, and production teams to ensure our machinery performs reliably and meets internal and customer standards.
Required Skills and Experience
Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in mechanical installation or maintenance, with demonstrated ability in the following:
· Installing and assembling industrial machinery and mechanical systems using technical drawings and specifications.
· Aligning, levelling, and calibrating components to meet engineering and production standards.
· Performing routine and preventive maintenance based on established company protocols.
· Diagnosing faults, dismantling systems, and repairing or replacing worn components.
· Machining, fabricating, or welding parts according to technical and functional requirements.
· Using mechanical tools and instruments to maintain or modify equipment.
· Following strict safety procedures, including lockout/tagout protocols and workplace safety guidelines.
· Reading and interpreting complex mechanical drawings and schematics.
· Collaborating with engineering and production departments to coordinate upgrades, modifications, or continuous improvement feedback.
· Supporting integration with automated systems, including sensors and mechanical actuators.
