Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Junior Culinary Operations Manager to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of culinary professionals in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
About the Role
The Junior Culinary Operations Manager will report directly to the Executive Chef and will be responsible for overseeing the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
This key role involves managing and training staff, assessing performance, and supporting professional development programs. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ordering supplies, exercising stock control, and inventory management.
In addition, the Junior Culinary Operations Manager will support the broader food and beverage operations of the hotel, including room service, conferencing, and events.
Responsibilities
* Lead a team of culinary professionals in delivering exceptional dining experiences.
* Oversee the smooth operation of the kitchen, ensuring that all orders are fulfilled efficiently and effectively.
* Manage and train staff, assessing performance and supporting professional development programs.
* Order supplies and exercise stock control and inventory management.
* Support the broader food and beverage operations of the hotel, including room service, conferencing, and events.
Requirements
* Bachelor's degree in Commercial Cookery or Culinary Arts from a recognized institution.
* At least 2 years' experience in a similar role, preferably in a high-volume kitchen environment.
* Strong leadership and communication skills.
* Ability to work efficiently under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
* Flexibility with night, weekend, and public holiday shifts.
