Job Description
As a senior licensing solicitor, you will play a critical role in supporting the director of licensing and registry in carrying out the law society's delegated statutory responsibilities pertaining to the licensing of solicitors in new south wales. This includes ensuring compliance with statutory licensing requirements, maintaining records of solicitors, and providing information to regulatory bodies, departments within the society, and other stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
* Supporting deputy directors and directors in carrying out delegated functions related to practising certificates and registration certificates
* Providing legal advice on licensing applications, statutory interpretation, administrative law issues
* Evaluating practitioner conduct through prudent investigations or assessment reports submitted by clients regarding misconduct allegations against their employees which have not been formally charged yet.
