Role Description
This is a part-time Physiotherapist role in a hybrid work arrangement, with primary clinic-based work in Hawthorn, VIC and some flexibility to complete suitable tasks from home (such as documentation and telehealth consultations). The Physiotherapist will assess and treat clients with a focus on women's and pelvic health across fertility, pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenting stages. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments, developing and implementing individualized treatment plans, and delivering evidence-based physiotherapy interventions. The role also involves running or contributing to clinical exercise and Pilates sessions, educating clients on self-management and prevention, and collaborating closely with other allied health professionals. Documentation, participation in team meetings, and contribution to quality improvement and professional development activities are also key components of this position.
Qualifications
* Current registration (or eligibility for registration) as a Physiotherapist with the relevant professional board or council.
* Demonstrated clinical skills in musculoskeletal and women's / pelvic health physiotherapy, ideally including pregnancy and postnatal care.
* Experience or training in clinical Pilates or exercise-based rehabilitation, with the ability to plan and deliver small group or 1:1 sessions.
* Strong assessment, clinical reasoning, and evidence-based treatment planning skills, including clear goal setting with clients.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with a compassionate, non-judgmental approach and the ability to build trust with diverse clients.
* Competence in clinical documentation, time management, and use of practice management or electronic health record systems.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and also manage a caseload independently.
* Commitment to ongoing professional development in women's health, pelvic health, and perinatal care.
* Previous experience in private practice, perinatal care, or a similar allied health setting is highly regarded.
* Availability to work a consistent part-time schedule, including some evenings or weekends if required by client demand.
