This role is an Australia-based, fully work-from-home position, with access to co-working spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. Please note - Primarily NSW based, with a few days each week spent on the road.
Job Description
The Medical Engagement Partner at Montu plays a central role in engaging and supporting healthcare professionals (HCPs) and clinic groups across Australia. Acting as the primary point of contact, this role combines education, relationship management, and commercial impact, helping HCPs understand Montu's proposition and how medicinal cannabis can be applied responsibly and effectively for patient care.
The goal of this role is to drive awareness, confidence, and education around medicinal cannabis for key conditions, positively influence market perception, increase prescriptions and referrals, and build long-term partnerships that support sustainable growth.
What You'll Be Doing
Commercial & Sales Performance
* Conduct needs assessments with HCPs and clinics to tailor educational engagement and demonstrate how Montu's solutions meet their needs
* Act as a trusted commercial educator, guiding partners through the medicinal cannabis landscape in Australia
* Support the acquisition of new partners alongside Key Account Managers and transition relationships post-deal
* Provide ongoing support to prescribing and referring partners to build long-term trust and satisfaction
o Assist prescribers with regulatory compliance, including:
o Authorised Prescriber applications, renewals and amendments
* Special Access Scheme (SAS) applications
* Support forecasting and provide 6-monthly TGA reporting assistance to partner prescribers
* Increase partner engagement through prescriber-focused platforms and effective relationship management
* Represent Montu at industry events, host quarterly partner engagement sessions, and deliver educational initiatives
* Monitor market trends, prescriber sentiment, and competitor activity to identify growth opportunities
* Meet activity and engagement targets (meetings, satisfaction, contribution to sales outcomes)
Relationship Management
* Build and nurture strong relationships with HCPs, acting as a trusted liaison between Montu and prescribing partners
* Provide high-quality support, responding promptly to enquiries and maintaining a strong service standard
* Coordinate communication between partners and internal teams to ensure seamless issue resolution
Product Knowledge & Medical Communication
* Act as a subject matter expert on Montu's value proposition and offerings to HCPs
* Communicate relevant research, clinical guidance, and prescribing pathways clearly and confidently
* Articulate the clinical and patient-care impact of Montu's products, supported by data and insights
* Support the development and execution of medical education strategies for HCP communities
* Contribute to broader healthcare professional engagement and therapy education plans
Qualifications
* Demonstrated experience as a highly successful Sales Representative, Account Manager or Business Development Manager.
* Proven track record of achieving strong sales results to targets in a solution sales environment.
* A demonstrated high aptitude for adhering to a structured sales process.
* Strong negotiation skills, with ability follow-through on partner contracts.
* Highly skilled prospector.
* Energetic attitude and a history of high activity levels in the field.
* Able to multitask, prioritise, and manage time efficiently.
* Able to analyse data and sales statistics and translate results into better solutions.
* Able to travel frequently to meet with healthcare professionals and attend conferences and meetings
