Job Opportunity



Job Description:

As a Senior Resident Medical Officer, you will provide medical services to patients in a complex clinical environment. Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate the admission, management and discharge planning of patients seen in or admitted to the Intensive Care unit.



Key Accountabilities:

* Coordinate patient care within the Intensive Care unit
* Document all relevant information in the patient's medical record
* Communicate effectively with patients and their families regarding their condition and treatment
* Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care delivery
* Exercise independent judgment, initiative and problem-solving skills in consultation with senior medical staff
* Ensure accurate and timely completion of death certificates, cremation certificates, medical certificates and discharge scripts

Other Information:

* This is a full-time position with 80 hours per fortnight, including evenings, weekends and night shifts.
* The successful applicant will be required to attend regularly and participate in the Intensive Care unit's continuing Medical Education programme for medical and nursing staff.
* The doctor will be expected to work closely with other Doctors, Nurses, Allied and Administrative staff as part of their role.

Performance Monitoring:

Regular performance monitoring and evaluation will be conducted by the line manager.
